Dominick Pernice

Director

Dominick PerniceDominick has been serving the Healthcare industry for over 25 years in various roles within Catholic Health and Northwell Health Systems. His previous roles included the Assistant Director of Radiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Administrative Director of Imaging Services and Cardiac Catheterization at Saint Catherine of Siena and Saint Charles Hospitals and Chief Operating Officer at St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown. His current position is the Chief Operating Officer at Saint Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson.

He is a Registered Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Licensed by the New York State Department of Health. He is New York State Department of Health Injection Certified, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator Certified. He is also certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt. He is a graduate of Northwell Health’s High Potential Program and the Succession Program Planning at Catholic Health.

In his current position, he oversees the overall operations of Imaging, Laboratory Services, Rehabilitation Services, Patient Access, Security, Environmental Services, Materials Management, Engineering, Food and Nutrition, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy and Retail Services. He focusses on improving the patient and customer experience and developing and mentoring the talent in his departments. He enjoys teaching and educating others. He currently facilitates Patient Experience classes and he served as an Associate Professor of Medical Imaging Procedures at Long Island University.

Dominick received both his Bachelor of Science degree and his Master of Business Administration degree at Long Island University CW Post Campus. He is an active member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

His personal interests include boating, skiing, traveling and spending time with family. He currently resides in Islip, New York with his wife Melonie and his three sons, Nicholas, Christopher and Anthony.
