  • Cancellation of ads/inserts less than one week before the printing of the newspaper will result in a 20% cancellation fee.
  • * All pricing is per ad and all prices are NET. All invoices must be paid within 30 days. Any advertisers carrying a cumulative balance of $1000 or more or those carrying a balance without making any payments for more than 60 days cannot run anymore ads until that balance is paid off.
  • 4,000 inserts must be submitted, folded if necessary, to a maximum size of 10"W x 7"H.
  • Prices of inserts may vary according to size and weight. They may not contain a postal indicia and must be pre-approved by HIA.
  • The Hauppauge Reporter is published the first week of every month. A signed contract, space reservations and ad materials are due the middle of the previous month.
  • There will be a 10% discount for full payment of contract for ads that are 1/6 page or larger and run for six months, if paid in full before the first ad is run.
  • All ads should be e-mailed to jfanning@hia-li.org or supplied on a disk.
  • The HIA reserves the right not to run an ad.


Ad Requirements

  • GUIDELINES:
  • Line screen - 85 lines per inch
  • Photos must be taken in 150 or greater dpi
  • Screens - no less than 20%
  • Hard copy print outs - 600 dpi
  • When creating "Black" DO NOT use process colors; use straight black only
  • DISC MEDIA: Floppy - 3.5 disc; Zip Disc 100 MB; CD-Rom
  • FORMATS: HIA can accept ads in any of the following formats:
  • PDF
  • Quark for MAC (MUST be collected for output)
  • TIF (in mac byte order)
  • EPS (ascii, level 2 postscript, with fonts embedded)
  • PROOFING
  • A hard copy of ALL ads must be faxed immediately following your e-mail or accompany your mailed disc for proofing purposes.
  • All members running COLOR ADS must supply color separations or crisp color print outs for color verification.
  • All ads created with color (even those running as black and white ads) MUST be created with CMYK colors.
